POSITION SUMMARY

The Inside Sales Business Development Representative (SBDR) is responsible for business development of targeted accounts in assigned vertical markets. The SBDR will proactively contact potential new customers in support of account plans and growth initiatives. New customers will be contacted primarily by phone or email using leads from various databases. The SBDR will develop a knowledge base of Amphenol Network Solutions products, solutions, and technical specifications. The SBDR will work with Inside Sales Management to market, present, and develop on-going business with new customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactive outbound calling to assigned accounts based on an agreed upon account strategy.
  • Develop new accounts that provide revenue on a recurring basis.
  • Knowledgeable on Amphenol Product and Solutions and able to educate and guide customers to the best solution for their application.
  • Communication with the internal organization on market share wins, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback.
  • Internal account owner and liaison with Sales Management, Product Management, Operations, and Quality.
  • Provide support for customers on product demos, product selection, literature, and training.
  • Assist in capturing and maintaining CRM contact database and account profiles.
  • Responsible for building effective relationships with customers.
  • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
  • Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
  • Building relationships with channel partners and team members to close sales.
  • New Business Development Activities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree in business, marketing or technically related field.
  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in outside and/or inside sales preferably in a manufacturing company.

LANGUAGE AND PEOPLE SKILLS

We prefer our Account Managers to have English as a primary language. Spanish as a second language is highly regarded.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Amphenol Network Solution currently runs Windows. Microsoft Office is still the standard, but technology moves fast and thus a willingness to learn and try is important. Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, presentation, databases, and E-mail software, preferably with Microsoft Office products. Proficient in ERP system usage and CRM sales tools.

MENTAL DEMANDS

Ability to concentrate and focus on detailed information for long periods. Requires repetitive reviewing of numbers and other information and nearly mistake free work performance.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This employee must be able to move 25 pounds, and must be able to sit and type and click a mouse for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

In employee in this position spends time in a fast-paced office environment, interfacing through multiple mediums servicing internal customers. Willing to work the occasional after-hours call required. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Travel may occasionally be required.
